We just got home from the pediatricians office. We are in for a lot of work to find out the cause of Jacobs worsening headaches. First, I put a call in to Jacobs med doctor (the medication for the Autism stuff) to find out if any of Jacobs medications could be causing the worsening headaches. We are currently waiting for a call back about that. Second, the pediatrician agrees that we should do a MRI to rule out anything bad going on in Jacobs brain. The bad news is that these MRIs are VERY hard to get approved through insurance. The pediatrician said she is going to do everything in her power to make the test go through the insurance, but she highly doubts if it will be approved. We will hear back either today or tomorrow about that. Though it looks like at this point a MRI is not going to happen. :( We are being sent to a neurologist (again) for a consult appointment. We are waiting for the call back about when our appointment will be. It could be tomorrow, it could be two months from now, we just dont know. Jacob will go off of his headache prevention medication as well as the pain medication since they are not working anyway. Jacob will begin an allergy medication just to see if by some lucky chance, all of this is being caused by allergies. So right now its just a waiting game. More news when I have it. For now, Im just going to say some prayers that all of this works itself out. We are going to TRY to focus on getting some school work done in the meantime. :(
