We just received this message from the organisers of the Share A Dream Concert at RDS : " Last Saturday the 24th of August Share a Dream celebrated International Dream Day in real style by hosting the biggest Free children’s concert ever in the RDS concert hall Dublin with over 500 children and their families. There are hundreds of special children who because of their illness or disability and total lack of facilities are denied the opportunity to attend a live concert with their siblings and friends. We would like to extent a very Big Thank you to you and everyone at Emerald Garrison for bringing a smile to the faces of hundreds of sick and disabled children from all over Ireland by allowing them and their families the opportunity to attend a real concert. Many of these children have spent most of their lives in and out of hospitals, undergoing serious operations, taking medication etc, deprived of so much that most of us take for granted. Having this special dream come true of going to a concert – meeting celebrities, seeing the fire trucks, garda jeeps & horses, army tanks, air corps buggies, getting a goody bag etc will give these families so much hope for a better tomorrow. Where there was so much darkness now there is sunshine... We cannot make dreams like this come true without a lot of special people sharing the dream with us and you have certainly done this. Please extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this dream possible, in particular yourself. “We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give”.
