We know that cycling on the pavements is a bugbear for many residents and it is currently one of the neighbourhood policing priorities for Cobham. Yesterday lunchtime whilst out on patrol, PCSO Ian Lowe dealt with two young ladies who were cycling repeatedly around the pedestrianised area of Cobham High Street and Hollyhedge Road. These two girls are well known to the local team and were spoken to about their behaviour. They chose to ignore our words of advice and were therefore escorted home to their parents and issued with a ‘yellow card’. This is a formal warning which is issued to a minor and is placed on their local record. We will be monitoring them closely and if they commit the same offence again within 6 months, there will be consequences!
