Food & Yummy Treats: **NEW ADDITION** Gone Green provides delicious condiments using collard greens. Every recipe embraces the use of collard greens in a unique and creative way. GGF Baker provides gluten-free muffins, cookies and breads Dallas Popcorn - Life by Dallas POPCORN is hot air popped with premium non-GMO kernels and sprayed with organic sunflower oil. A delightful blend of kosher nutritional yeast and a variety of kosher and organic herbs and a tad bit of sea salt are then applied to the popcorn, to come up with four knock-your-socks-off flavors. Craft Vendors: Jerrell Baker - Glass Adornments Melissa Glasser - The District Collective Miloud -Tablerustic Thea Browne-Dennis - Aslipure Music: 6:00 pm - CopperRose & Bone…musicians from Washington, DC believe that music is the perfect tool to uplift the spirit. SATURDAY MARKET - 9AM-1PM Farmer: Valencias Produce - Maria Valencia and her family own and operate Valencias Produce in Leedstown, VA. Their wide variety of fruits and vegetables include asparagus, black-eyed peas, blueberries, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cantaloupe melon, watermelon, sweet corn, cucumbers, garlic, tomatoes, lettuce mixes and herbs. Food & Yummy Treats: **NEW ADDITION** Whaler Creation provides desserts, include sweet potato pies GGF Baker provides gluten-free muffins, cookies and bread. LaNitas Sweets - Donuts, glazed cookies, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cakes – strawberry shortcake, sweet potato, lemon pound, original pound cobblers – apple and peach! Stephanie is a native Washingtonian, whom developed an interest in food as a teenager. Her adventure began with French basics, crepes, breads and desserts. She took advantage after high school of every opportunity to learn or explore a different type of cuisine or cooking method. Her education includes classes from Sur La Table, L’Academie de Cuisine, and CulinAerie. Her current focus with cooking is how to educate/motivate our communities to eat healthier, try new food fusions and give back to the source of all produce, the planet. She believes introducing food to children early is fundamental in creating a desire for a healthy palate and plate. Gardening Workshop with Judy Walsh-Mellett - 12:30 pm -1:00pm Judy grew up gardening with her Dad and sisters in Upstate New York. She has tended (and expanded) a garden in Mt. Rainier for over 25 years and kept bees for the last two. Judy has pursued garden training in several venues: Master Gardener through the DC Cooperative Extension (1994), Volunteer Training at the US National Arboretum (1997), a Sustainable Mini-Farming Course with Ecology Action (2000) and Permaculture Design Course (2013). She also volunteered as an intern at EcoCity Farms, an urban farm in Edmonston, MD in the Spring and Summer of 2013.
