We lost another great yesterday--Yuri Kochiyama. love and light on your transition Yuri. we are thankful. The more I think about it the more I realize how little you learn about American history. Its just what they want you to know. We always called the camps relocation camps when we there. Now we feel it is apropos to call them concentration camps. It is not the same as the concentration camps of Europe. We feel those were death camps.... Historically Americans have always been putting people behind walls. First their were the American Indians who were put on reservations, Africans who were enslaved in their lives on plantations, Chican@s doing migratory work in the kinds of camps they lived in, and even to the Chinese when the worked on the railroad camps almost isolated, dispossessed people.
