We made it down to Nashville Saturday with a 6 x 12 uhaul trailer full of stuff to live in our new rental home. Got here about 4:30pm and found out we had no water. Ugh! So a trip to Wal-Mart took place to buy 15 gallons of water so we could FLUSH and make coffee. Managed to get the trailer unloaded & the beds put together with bedding so we could sleep. Sunday did some unpacking & took off to do some shopping for portable shelving and washer & dryer - to be delivered and set up Tuesday. Then the priorities kicked in ... went to Hooters for lunch and watch the Talladega race! This morning we had to heat water so I could wash up & wash my hair for my appearance at the office. Bill got to go to the water dept and pay a deposit AND a same day service fee to get it turned on. By the time he got back from picking up the self installation stuff from Comcast, the water was on. YIPPEE! We can actually start to function without jugs of water! But! The fun continues! When he picked me up from work, he said Comcast couldnt be turned on until I had the Comcast modem set up. THATS when we learned there were a kazillion cable wires strung across the basement ceiling - and only a couple were actually hooked up to anything! We toee down about 500 feet of cable. Comcast was called - well pay the installation fee to have them run new. Theyll be here in the morning. I just love moving ... NOT!
