We made it to Zakynthos and upon entering the hotel to check in I knew we were on the wrong part of the island. How I knew? Ill quote the funny solicitor from the movie The Castle when he says, Its the vibe! Weve come to the Ibiza of Zakynthos! 20 years too late for me but Alan loves it! The first thing he noticed was the billboard directly across the hotel room promoting the strip club. The club is 25 metres from the hotel! Alan is 12. Pic enclosed. The hotel is fine. The rooms, pool, staff and facilities are great but the noise levels at night... Weve not slept a wink. No surprise when all beer, wine, spirits and cocktails are fully inclusive from 10am to 11pm for hotel guests. But it was all worth it. Yesterday we boarded a speedboat to swim at the shipwreck and the blue caves. The only reason we came to Zakynthos. Incredible! The best swim weve ever had. Check out the colour of the water.
