Volunteers will receive: T-Shirt Water in a bottle from JM Flora Hammer Recovery Bar A free ticket to the Lucky Pie After-Race Party (see below) Race marshals receive a brief marshal training at sign-in and a handout with specific instructions Everyone receives the gratification knowing they helped the best bike race in Colorado Lucky Pie After-Race Party Sonic Boom covers cost at $10 per Race-day volunteer Band - SoundRabbit All volunteers get free food and beer with limited menu. It is coming back to Historic Downtown Louisville this summer on Saturday, June 29th. This year The Sonic Boom Race was selected as the Masters State Championship criterium race. Come watch as Colorado’s best cyclists race up Main Street and around Memory Square Park. The race course will start at Main Street and Walnut heading north. It follows a path through the residential streets west of downtown. The race finishes on Main Street at the same place it starts. Each group of cyclists will race around the course for a pre-determined time period depending on the race category. A highlight of the day is the Sonic Boom Kid’s Bike Race, which is FREE to all kids 9 and under. The older kids (6-9) will be racing around the full race course loop. The youngest kids (5 and under) will be racing around a truncated race course. Both races start and end at the official start/finish line at Walnut and Main. All kid participants receive a free ice cream cone and ribbon, sponsored by Sweet Cow and All-West Trophies. All kids must register at the registration table near the Start/Finish line on Walnut Street. After the conclusion of the Men’s Pro race at around 6:45pm, stop by Lucky Pie’s expanded front patio space for the end of race celebrations. Lucky Pie will be providing a post-race menu of food and beverage at a reasonable price with live music by SoundRabbit to add to the fun.
