We need to Change From the mind of Nellie V. ... On my way home last night, I was listening to 2Pac Changes. This is truly one my favorite 2Pac songs. This song is almost 20 years old and the lyrics that 2Pac lay out still runs true today. What happened in Ferguson wasnt right nor fair. But when i think of whole story and what transpired, I think of two questions. Are ppl more upset because a young man lost his life to a cop and nothing was done about it? or are we more upset that white man got away with killing a black boy & nothing was done about it? Now I know there many different answers to both questions and to be honest depending on personal experiences dealing with ppl with different backgrounds, ethics, and where u live as well raised. You are going make your own answer and opinion. But no matter how we feel having more fuel to fire that some ppl out there wants us to do will never solve anything.it never does. We lived in world with so much anger, hate, negatively, etc. We really have to rise above that and sometimes its not easy. I always believe doing little things matter in a big way. For example, holding the door for someone, giving someone compliant, pulling over to help someone out with car trouble, giving food or money to someone in need. These are just few examples. We need to rise above all this. Let the Lord deal with the judgement of ppl actions. Because if we as ppl fail to provide the right justice then let The Lord will take care of it in His own way. Rioting and destroying property etc will never solve anything. Its ok to upset and mad what occurred but there are positive and more effective ways to display those feelings. We are a nation of laws and whether we like it not @times we have obey by them. We cant be like crazy mob whn we feel justice havent been served. 2pac said Its time for us as a people to start makin some changes. Lets change the way we eat, lets change the way we live And lets change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasnt working so its on us to do What we gotta do, to survive. 2pac had it right maybe one day everyone will get it right as well. Until the nxt thought fb ppl.
