We need your help. In just a few days, on Monday, June 24, the No More Names Bus will be parked for twelve hours at the Georgia Capitol. From 9am to 9pm, names of gun violence victims who have perished in the 6 months since the Sandy Hook tragedy will be read nonstop. This is over 6,000 names. It will be done in every one of the 25 states the tour will reach in the next 100 days. We must continue to get the attention this critical issue deserves, and this effort should be well covered. But we need your help. If you are available to read or help organize the readers on the 24th, please respond with a preferred time window, and please include your name and phone number in your response. We will organize time slots and get back with you before the end of the week. Your organization may reserve a time slot or feel free to email me your preference directly to: elstahlman@gmail . Ideally, if a pair or group can come down together, you will be able to switch reading in 10 minute shifts (hopefully for 2 or 3 shifts). We should have coverage from the sun, but it will be a hot summer day. So please don’t attempt this if you are heat sensitive. And feel free to pass this email to others.
