We received this today, a delightful letter from two guests who stayed Tuesday, we thought it was so detailed and heart felt we wanted to share it with you all, #colouryourlife #bournemouthinfo It makes it all worth while to see this Good morning Mr Wood My wife and I stayed in Room 121 of the Cumberland Hotel for one night on Tuesday, August 5 and could not have been more delighted with our experience. We are rarely able to afford such such a luxury but on this occasion it was a wonderful gift from out sons. Our room left nothing to be desired being clean, comfortable and with soft towels for us after a lovely big bath and shower that had plenty of pressure. Please pass our thanks to the staff who must work very hard to achieve such a high standard. On the subject of staff, we were most impressed at Reception with their efficiency and the genuinely warm welcome. Their smiles made us feel our brief stay would be special and indeed that proved to be the case. In fact we found the staff everywhere gave such prompt and courteous service that someone never seemed to be far away! Breakfast and dinner were superb as was the service and so please thank all those we did not see whose talent and skill resulted in meals to remember! When I asked for the names of those who came to our table they were written down as Meri, Greg, Rubina and Franklim. A big thank you to each one. The decor was absolutely wonderfully and captured an era of grace and style that we had never seen before and left us feeling that the stress of modern living was far away. Finally we could not quite get over the heated swimming pools (both outside and indoor) that we thought were quite a luxury and greatly enjoyed - even if the outside one was from the comfort of sun lounges. As you can imagine, we left with great regret and a determination to return again at the earliest opportunity. Please accept our most grateful thanks to everyone who makes staying at The Cumberland such a memorable experience. Kind regards and best wishes, John and Dianne Adams
