We rescued Daffy, aka Rocco, on 2/6/2014. At 12 plus years old he was abandoned to the shelter by the only family he ever knew and loved when he needed them the most. Rocco was in pretty rough shape when we met him and we were not sure he would ever make it out of the vets. He rallied though and we sent him home to our loving and life saving hospice foster where he has spent the last 6 months enjoying his gift of life knowing only love and kindness and how much his life matters. In the last 2 weeks sadly Rocco has taken a turn for the worst and he has let his fosters mommies know it is time. We are on our way to pick up this sweet old gent, who we believe has suffered a series of mini strokes, complicated by swelling of his brain :-( We will update as soon as we have him at the vets.
