We saw "Elysium" last night and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Most action adventure sci-fi is crushingly disappointing from a creative viewpoint, sacrificing story for relentless action. Somehow Elysium had relentless action that (surprise) was actually in service to a fantastic story. The acting was great too, but I might be biased as a Matt Damon fan. Go see it! What was scary to me, was how "possible" such a scenario seems with the way modern tech and socioeconomic trends seems to be headed. There was definitely a public service message to heed in there.
