We started in San Francisco, and from there we drove 1,525 miles to Cabo San Lucas Mexico, saddle bags packed, and the wind and the motor running, stopping at beaches along the way, we stopped at guerrero negro to visit the whales, in a little skiff boat, the whales were huge sperm whates mothers with their babies, I cried, and nearly fell in, and Freddie held me back, I wanted to go in it was one of the monumental experiences in my life. Went to cabo lucas, where many other magical things happened. Then back up the baja to take a ferry from La Paz to Guaymous to Mazatlan to puerta vallarta to Manzinillo to Ixtapa to Zihuzatanejo, to Alcapulco and then down and over to, the tip, in a small fishing village, where we stayed in a hut, by a beautiful reef, All on the fat boy, we would wash our clothes along the way, attend birthday parties, from children who thought we were the terminator because he had a fat boy also. We would go to churches up in the mountains that were hundreds of years old, and smell the wood, and the beauty, we would swim where they filmed the black lagoon, and stop in Zihuzatanejo, where they talked about in the famous film, Shashank redemption. We were stopped by federallies, all along the way, we were stopped by people who wanted to look at the bike and take our picture, they couldn’t believe we were so far from home on that. It was the time of my life. The ocean was warm, the people were kind, through mountains, and dessert, through rain, and flooding, the fat boy chugged down the road, she kept going, it was beautiful. All with a Harley-Davidson fat boy, i have ridden other bikes but the Harley is part of my history, I love Harleys, My first husband built them from scratch, or a basket case, so why a Harley, thats all I know and love, the sound of that motor sends chills through me. I have rode many many miles.
