We tell jurors that we want them to give full, complete and honest - TopicsExpress

We tell jurors that we want them to give full, complete and honest answers to the questions put to them on the Juror Questionnaires they have fill out, because if they do so, it will cut the time spent in Voir Dire down a bit. This guy did not belong on a jury, I agree that he should not be allowed to serve on the jury in this case. However, finding him in contempt of Court for doing what he was told to do, and making him spend three days in jail is unwarranted, and will only serve to have a chilling effect on other jurors. We want jurors to be candid with us, so we cqn make an intelligent decision about who should and who should not serve on the jury who is about to determine our clients fate. Sending someone to jail for doing so seems counterproductive to me.
