We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Its Constitution Day and three phrases from the Preamble stick out. We the PEOPLE....not corporations, not rich people, not white people, and not just some people. Citizens United is the worst interpretation of this document ever. This document was meant for all of us. Promote the general welfare.....this is the basis for all this free stuff that so many conservatives say they want to get rid of. There are abuses in entitlement programs. But not just in welfare, or food stamps, or disability insurance. Abuse of Farm subsidies, tax loopholes, exorbitant and no-bid contracts waste FAR MORE OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS. And finally the phrase,..and our Posterity. If we keep re-electing politicians that work towards holding power in the hands of the few and keeping lobbyists happy instead of serving US THE PEOPLE. Our future generations will suffer. #constitution #preamble
