We tossed our Christmas tree years ago and had at times just used a nativity scene as our sole decoration, putting gifts around it. But we had been trying to come up with ideas of what we could do to decorate that would focus on WHY DID JESUS COME? I found this idea on Pinterest just a few days ago (yeah, I was DOWN TO THE WIRE, we just finished this YESTERDAY) and there were very few pins of this idea, but WE ALL were thrilled about it! Surprisingly it was something that was sold at one time through Costco (I found some pins of a Costco product image) It keeps the focus on the real reason why Jesus came, so we call it our JESUS TREE It is constructed of 2 PVC pipe, 15 ft. greenery from the Dollar Tree, 400 white Christmas lights or rather 4 sets of 100 count of Christmas lights, a grapevine wreath for a crown, a red damask table runner from the Dollar Tree, and our set of Adorenaments by FamilyLife with Dennis and Barbara Rainey that we bought years ago that were a set of 12 ornaments that each had a name of Christ on it.
