We want to invite you to this intensive workshop about The instrumental teaching according to the Music Learning Theory that we are organizing in June in Tuscany (Italy), at Casa Cares (Reggello - Florence) and that will be taught by Dina Alexander, a greater teacher that we are sure you already know. The instrumental teaching according to the Edwin Gordons Music Learning Theory: The teaching of the instrument in the group: audiation , technique, improvisation and movement (in italian: audiationinstitute.org/didattica-strumentale-secondo-la-mlt/ ) Intensive seminar for musicians and music teachers. Dina Alexander , Eastman School of Music, general instrumental music teacher (brasses, winds , keyboards , guitars and percussion) according to the MLT and methods derived from it, Jump Right In : The Instrumental Series, is known worldwide for its ensembles and big bands of children of the second cycle of primary school , several times winner of important interscholastic contests in the state of New York. The Intensive workshop with Dina Alexander , lasting 40 hours, it is an important occasion : the proposed work from Jump Right In and refined by the teacher through years of research and experience with boys and girls is a teaching practice that can be transferred to each instrument . The research about music learning has created an established practice that involves the integration of the audiation development activities with the instrumental technique development activities through the use of rote songs , familiar and unfamiliar patterns sequences and specific activities for each individual instrument. Parallel to the seminar will be organized a musical Campus for boys and girls , aged 8 years. During the Campus boys and girls will have the opportunity to attend regular classes of instrument and music together with their teachers and , at the same time , to work in groups with Dina Alexander .
