We were blessed to the point of tears as we got to jam with Mr Howell for his 100th birthday bash at the historical George Town Town Hall. Swanky and Mr Junior Jennings backed up Mr Howell as he amazed us with renditions of Majesty and Carry Me Ackee but the cherry on the sundae was a totally improvised jam of Peanut Vendor in which Mr Howell ran the lines flawlessly. Amazing doesnt begin to explain it. Its confirmation that only what is real stands the test of time, and that real talent and real music is a priceless commodity.
