We were changing classes and walked into the building, Mr. Render was outside of his classroom with all the teachers and I remember clear as day. He said we are under attack and my brother is boarding a fighter jet right now. We sat in history class just glued to the tv shaking our heads in disbelief. All I could think about is why is this happening. I thought my at the time boyfriend, now husband, was going to get called up and activated right away. I got home and cried, and every year during this week since then, I cry. I cry for everyone who have the ultimate sacrifice, and I cry for all the people who lost their lives on September 11th, and the ones who fight because of September 11th. Do something nice today to honor those memories. Say hi to a stranger, hold a door open, pay for someone if your in the drive thru. God Bless America.
