We were first notified of this story by Tamara Crismore and were lead to Angela Rae Wolfe. This story will warm your hearts and I ask all Warriors to read and share Zachs pictures and Angleas account. The incredible people of this state again shine through...beyond touching and may god bless Zach and his family. PLEASE READ and SHARE!! My name is Angela Wolfe and I live in Dillon MT. I have been following 11 year old Zachary Haines story since last year, when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On, November 23rd, I had read a posting on his journal, at www Caringbridges . org, that he had 3-5 months left with us. I also seen that he was issued his hunting tags under special circumstances from FWP. I used to live in Libby and I know the hunting there isnt as good as it is in Dillon, so I contacted Tatum Haines, Zachs father, to see if they would be able to bring Zach to Dillon. He was delighted and accepted the offer. I knew I wanted this to be as special as possible for Zach, so I started phone calls and visiting businesses on Monday (November 25th). I expected for a lot of them to say no to donations, but to my surprise, I didnt get that response. The following donations were made: Walmart .243 youth model rifle, Cabelas new hunting clothes and a hat, Lions Den steak dinner, Murdochs baseball cap wool socks and gloves, Rocky Mountain Supply hunting boots, Turney Repair Ammo, Subway $25 gift card, GuestHouse Motel 2 night stay, maid at motel for giving Zach $5 to buy something, Town Pump-Dillon $30 gift card, Safeway $25 gift card, Wahls Roofing(Clinton) $20 gas, Aitkens (libby) $25 gas, Saverite (libby) $25 gift card, Dillon Tribune for doing a story on Zach, Beaverhead Motors welcomed him to Dillon with balloons and a message on the windshield of a vehicle, Lucky Loggers a Good luck message on billboard, Dave and Blade Schuett for giving him the hunt on their land and guiding him plus so much more. Friday night, I met the Haines family at Walmart in Butte to surprise him with his new rifle, we then headed to Dillon. On Saturday, we met with the Blade Schuett at 8a.m. so they could do some shooting and then drive around the property to see all the wild game. Zach was very excited and couldnt believe that all the elk were wild and not owned. We then left and had to come back at 2:30. Zach went around to some of the businesses that helped out with donations and thanked them. They treated him like he was an important person and took pictures with him. We arrived at the Schuetts with the Dillon Reporter and started to get set up for the hunt. Only a couple people could join Zach on the hunt, so his dad, brother (Mathew) and Grandma(Janet) went with him. Me and his step mom(Natasha) and baby brother(Colter) watched from a distance with a spotting scope. We continued listening for a rifle shooting, but never heard anything as night approached. I then seen the tractor picking up something and I was getting excited. When I seen an elk in the bucket and grapple of the tractor I was overly excited and started saying, he got one, he got one!!!! I called Kara, from the Schuett property, that was waiting on the edge of the property and she told me to follow her to the location they were taking the elk. It took forever for them to get to this location, but when they did, they dropped the elk onto the ground and pulled around to the side. When Zach was getting off of the trailer of the tractor, he ran to the front of the tractor, thinking it was still in the bucket...we started yelling for him to come over to the right location. When he turned around, I realized his smile was worth all of the pressed time and hard work I did to make this happen. He went over to his 5x4 elk and started to touch it and petting it. He was more then willing to have his photo taken. He was smiling from ear to ear!!! The Schuetts went ahead and hung it there at the ranch till the next day. Tatum went out the next day, to cape it, so he can do a shoulder mount. I am glad that I was part of this family getting this memory of Zachary, it means the world to me and it was very touching. I just wanted to see his dream come true!!! I have made a new friend that is such a caring and loving human being...I am so proud how the community treated him and what they did for him. If you need anymore info let me know, Thank you Angela Wolfe 406-334-1248
