We work hard to support motorcycle oriented events that we believe to be reputable - and charitable efforts within our communities that we believe in and have substantiated their efforts. Unfortunately there are plenty of promoters and scam artists looking to make a buck off the motorcycle community. Several prominent events just this year were revealed as being scams - and thankfully they were ones that TRO chose not to be involved in. We DONT simply take anyones money and run their ads - and we certainly DONT put our name on any event. Its important for us to maintain credibility with our readers. If they see it in Thunder Roads Ohio - our readers need to have confidence in it being legit. Not all events are successes but we will never support an event or promoter that we dont consider honest in what they are doing and saying. We also wont promote events or stops that we wouldnt recommend to our friends or family. And its never a question of making a dollar off of them for us - our basic event listings are FREE for all non-profit organizations! If you see an Ohio motorcycle event promoted elsewhere and NOT in our magazine or on our website - you should question why.
