Weather Bureau PAGASA has detected a gradual weakening of typhoon Ruby. PAGASA Administrator Vicente Malano said this is due to the interaction of Typhoon Ruby with the cold northeasterly winds (amihan) coming from Siberia. The sustained wind speed of the typhoon is now estimated at 185 kph. Malano said the rain intensity and diameter of the typhoon would also be reduced with this development. But PAGASA says, Ruby is still a strong typhoon. As of 11 a.m., December 6, it was last spotted 250 km east northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar. It has winds of up 185kph, gustiness 220kph. Weather bureau PAGASA warns of up to 4 to 5-meter high storm surges in Quezon Province, Leyte, Samar and parts of the Bicol region. https://anc.yahoo/photos/slideshow-philippines-braces-for-typhoon-ruby-slideshow/residents-start-fleeing-to-the-hills-in-quinapondan-eastern-samar-photo-1417762691719.html
