Weather Forecast for Kent – MONDAY 1st September - TopicsExpress

Weather Forecast for Kent – MONDAY 1st September ’14. Although pressure is rising, a slow moving and weak weather front is going to pass over us here at Kent anyway. TODAY . . . Although we do have this bright start to the day, it will cloud over as we wear onto the morning thus leading to a rather overcast afternoon. The cloud layer may just be thick enough to give off the odd spits of light rain here and there, some areas may get slightly damp and other areas may even stay completely dry altogether. So, with that to mind, hang the line washing at your own risk. Temperatures sticking close to average values at around 17 C (63 F) under a light south west breeze. Not really a lot to get excited over, but nor isn’t there much to get worked up about. TONIGHT . . . Rather cloudy with patchy light rain in the first half of the night, perhaps some clear breaks may develop in the small hours. It’ll be another fairly mild night with temperatures hovering around 15 C (59 F), although local mist or fog patches may get to form in the usual prone low lying areas as winds become calm. OUTLOOK . . . Tomorrow (Tuesday) will start off on a rather cloudy and damp note with very patchy light rain, but it should brighten up as we go into the afternoon. Then it’ll be generally dry and settled with sunny breaks and varied cloud amounts for the rest of the week as high pressure settles over us. However, the trade off may be in the form of mist and fog becoming a regular occurrence at night time. Also, the models are showing winds often coming in from the north east in the next few days so it looks like East Kent may struggle temperature-wise while West Kent is likely to see the warmer values – unless the wind does move in from the near Continent, in which case there is a chance of temperatures getting up to 25 C (77 F) across Kent by the end of the week. This dry and settled spell looks set to last into the weekend but is likely to be cooling off by then.
