Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles Issued: 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 4, 2013 A ridge of high pressure has established itself across the region. This will result in a gradual drying out of the atmosphere during the next 24 hours. Shower activity, if any, will be limited mainly to the cooler late night and early morning periods. Hazy and breezy conditions will also be evident. Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with swells peaking near 7.0 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise some caution. A gradual improvement in sea conditions is expected by the weekend. (weather.gov.dm)
