Weather for today from John: After the clearance of any early morning mist and fog it will be a largely dry day with patchy areas of cloud drifting around with most places seeing some reasonable spells of sunshine. There is however, a risk of catching a few afternoon showers especially along and near the south coast. Wind variable light mainly northeasterly becoming northerly; maximum temperature 18C.
