Wed. Oct. 22nd WARRING ANGELS Revelation 12:7-9; 2 Kings 6: 8-17 Angels are spirit beings that wield tremendous power because they were created that way. They derive their power by standing in the presence and authority of God (Luke 1:19). Angels have healing power (John 5:1-4), have power to make blind (Gen. 19: 1-11 ), have power to kill (2 Chron. 32: 20-21 ), have power to make one speechless (Luke 1: 19-20 ), have power over water (John 5:4), have power to deliver miraculously (Acts 12: 1-11 ), have power to cause earthquakes and do the impossible (Matt. 28:1-4). Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister to heirs of salvation. They engage in warfare on behalf of God’s purposes, plans and people. They are what some describe as ‘warring angels’. Life is a fight, and we need angelic assistance in this fight of life. Ways we can engage the assistance of warring angels: - Worship Jesus not angels (Joshua 5: 14-15) - Prayers (Matt. 26: 47-54; 2 Kings 19: 8-35) - Speaking God’s word (Ps. 103:20) Prayer: I release angels to perform the miraculous on my behalf in Jesus Name.
