Wednesday, March 05, 2014 THE CHOSEN “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” – EPHESIANS 1:4 According to Dictionary, CHOSEN means – One who is the object of choice or of divine favor for special privilege. Christians are product of God’s divine choice. Why did God choose you? What is the qualification for your chosen? Ability to answer these questions rightly will help in prioritizing a life that is pleasing unto God. You are chosen by God to be holy and without blame before Him. God made you holy by bringing you into Christ and it is God’s desire that you remain holiness (in Him) in your day to day conduct. (1 Peter 1:15). Being without blame is being faultless that is being perfect in all that you do. Love is the perfection of all things (Matthew 5:48). Your holiness and being blameless is before God not before any man. For holiness is not what you do but who you are. When you see that all you do is before God, who called you unto Himself in Christ, your boldness will increase, your faith will rise, and the power in you is manifested. (Acts 4:10; 1 Kings 18:15) God chose you not because you are qualify, but He did because of His love. Love is the perfection of all Spiritual things. No man is qualified to approach God but we are qualified through the offering of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. God did it so that no man may boast before Him. No matter how schooled or cultured a man is, without God’s choice of him such a man is not qualified to stand before Him neither be used by Him. (Colossians 1:12; 1 Corinthians 2:1,4) Brethren, you are chosen by God to stand before Him and to appreciate the fact that it is God’s love that qualify your election not your work. Though there are privileges and responsibilities for His choice of you. Your day to day living before God in His calling in true holiness and perfection is what guaranteed the enjoyment of your privileges and been useful for His calling. PRAYER: Father, I thank you for chosen me by your love. I ask for grace to remain in your love that I may live a life of true holiness and perfection before you in Jesus Name.
