Wee Alex Tilley has won 5 of her last 6 races. I mean, wow. With last weeks 10 point FIS result in GS (on a massive winning margin) backed up by an 11 point slalom result in yesterdays NorAm victory..... really, really, wow. Time for a shout out to all our trainees, coaches, teachers, housemums, cooks and bottle washers, and parents (!) over the years. So many kids have come through, and its been such a pleasure helping them along. So here, by way of revolting self-congratulation to all those of us who sail or ever sailed on the leaky old tub, is what one quiet kid with a cheeky grin had to say about the service... My time at the British Ski Academy has given me vast experience in many different areas of my life. Not only did my ski racing improve huge amounts, but I grew a lot as a person as well. I started off as a homesick and shy 10 year old, and left as a fairly confident 15 year old who never wanted to go home. Schoolwork was never a problem as the set up allowed me to apply myself 100% both on the hill and in the classroom. I also made some great friendships at BSA, which I still value highly to this day. I pay huge credit to BSA for who and where I am in my skiing career to date, and wish to thank everyone involved for giving me such incredible opportunities, and some of the most memorable days of my life.
