They will have their sights on clinching at least a share of the American Athletic Conference championship, and defeating a 2-8 South Florida team will be the next step in that process. The Wolverines have been out of the division race for a while now, but ruining a rivals perfect season would go a long way for coach Brady Hoke in silencing some of his skeptics after a rocky season. The Blue Devils have won seven in a row. Now bowl-eligible, North Carolina is looking for its sixth straight win after a 1-5 start. Yet Baylor still has plenty to play for -- including a co-Big 12 championship -- if it wins its final two games. That goal starts Saturday against a Horned Frogs squad looking to salvage its bowl-less season by upsetting the Bears. TCU has the secondary to challenge BUs offense, much like OSU did, so think twice before automatically slotting this game into Baylors win column. While this game has no bearing on the outcome of the Pac-12 standings or home-field advantage, the Cardinal surely remember Notre Dames goal-line stand to end the game last year. South Carolina has its longest winning streak in the series since 1951-54. Watch for the Clemson offensive line against Jadeveon Clowney, who had a single-game school record 4.5 sacks on Boyd in their matchup last year. The South Division is no longer up for grabs, but bowl game pecking order is, along with recruiting implications and the possible job status of Orgeron. The Bruins havent won in the Coliseum since 1997. That trend will continue ! If ASU wins, it would host Stanford in the Pac-12 championship game. If it loses, the Cardinal will host the title game. Arizona is riding high after knocking off Oregon last week.
