Week 2 July Outreach Team Xtreme Update: Well last week was a little slower than our first week on the road as we were based out of my parents place in Lucky Lake, SK. We helped my mom celebrate her 65th birthday on the 9th by doing a pig roast. The day before the birthday we drove out to get the pig and made a half days trip out of it. We took the kids for swimming at Palliser Regional Park where they had a swimming pool. Then we drove on one of Saskatchewans great gravel highways for about 65km. That in itself was an adventure as the dust poured in the vehicle from the back (we realized later that the rubber seal on the rear door was off) and when we got to the farm where we got the pig from Masiu and Tesis hair was white- well so was the rest of ours only we couldnt see it like we could on theirs. The guys killed and cleaned the pig from there and we were on our way. They were able to dig a hole in the back yard to cook it underground, Island style. It was yummy! We also did a few of our TX demonstrations and dances for the birthday celebration. We had sent out invitations to the church and town to join us for the show. It was well received and we were able to share Jesus love to this small town. Thursday we helped my dad with the service at the local health centre where he does a church service once a month. We shared some stories and a few songs and dances. It was nice to see how the seniors enjoyed watching our young active kids. I am sure it brightened their day as it did the staff who work there. Friday Masiu and Tesi cleaned our vehicles and took care of the kids while my mom and I went into Saskatoon to visit my grandmother who is 88 (her health has gone downhill recently but we are still praying for quality and joy in life for her and for her to be free of fear and anxiety in her last days). We also picked up my sister Robin who was out for a three day visit from BC. It was nice to see her and the kids enjoyed spending a bit of time with her. Saturday we all went to a beach for a picnic and swim. It was a gorgeous day at Diefenbaker Dam! Sunday morning we left my parents house at 8:45am to join the church at Davids Heart Ministry in Saskatoon. We were able to share in both the morning and evening services. It is a First Nations church and the people are hungry and desperate to see Jesus move in their lives and in their familys lives. Masiu once again shared on Spiritual Warfare and talked about putting on the full armor and being ready for Jesus. It was not the message he had prepared but the Holy Spirit gave him some new and fresh approaches to the message. We did a few dances and our TX stuff in the evening service. It was so good to see the kids enjoying the message as well as the older ones. We feel that God used us to encourage the walk and journey of those we met. He is faithful to complete what he has begun in each and every one of us. We are still staying in Saskatoon through till Thursday with a friend from the church. She has three kids and the kids are enjoying some different toys to play with and also some new friends. We plan to take them swimming at the pool this evening. Thursday morning we head up to Waterhen for some tent meetings on the reserve there. We have heard that the need is great there and a few church members have family there so they are so excited to see what God is going to do. We need Jesus and the people are ready! Thanks again for all the love and support...we can feel it! Our cell phone is not working and we cannot send it in for repair till we get back to BC but I got a cell phone now so both Masiu and I will have numbers once that is fixed. My new number is:250-408-4059...feel free to text us. We do not have internet where we are staying so we are using Tims Wifi...good excuse for a coffee/drink!
