Week 39 Recap of the Big C Road Tour Two weeks on the road included an 8 stop campaign that spanned the East Coast and the Midwest. We had to overcome a shortage of Stoma bags, a blown fuel pump, Winter Storm Cato, and a lonely northern Ohio road without any gas stations. Special thanks to the following team mates who were invaluable during the many challenges over the past two weeks: Dave, Amy, Kim, Bill, Kay, Pete, Claire, Neal, Gayle, and of course Karen. Please note the list is ordered by appearance. It is good to be back in Memphis for the entire month of December. I am adjusting well to the new bi weekly FuDr and IR chemo program and am very pleased that my Oncologist here in the West Clinic in Memphis has agreed to do the off-week Saline flush of my Liver pump and the IR Chemo. I now have a national health care team. My overall fitness level is improving and I expect in the next month to get back to my pre-surgery walking and biking exertion levels. The Neuropathy in my finger tips and in my feet remains, but is not disabling. In the next two weeks I will develop a Patient Newsletter for use by my Health Care team to try to firm up plans for 2015. I am expected in Manhattan on 1/5 and 1/6 for a Cat Scan and treatment.
