WEEKDAY WORSHIP resumes this Thursday 4th September at 11.15am, led by Melville. This short 25 minute service is especially for those who struggle to get to Church on Sunday morning, for various reasons. As it is the first service of the new Session, we’ll have tea/coffee and some delicious home baking to welcome everyone back after the service. Why not bring along a friend? 6. THE MONTHLY PRAYER BREAKFAST in support of LCYT Schools Worker Mike Glass is on Saturday 6th September in Falkirk Free Church from 9-10am. All welcome. ADVANCE NOTICES: 7. FLOWER NOTICE FOR 7th SEPTEMBER: June O’Connor and Nan Hamilton 8. ANOTHER DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: The Kirk Session is holding a Congregational Conference on Saturday 20th September from 10am-12 noon, when we will seek your views on the way forward for Larbert East over the next 5 years. Please make sure you come along - we’ll end with bacon rolls for lunch! 9. THINKING ABOUT JOINING THE CHURCH? Then look no further than this year’s Enquirers’ Group! The first meeting will be on Sunday 21st September at 2.30pm in the Small Hall. Coming along doesn’t commit you to joining but will help you make up your mind. Members wanting to come along for a ‘refresher course’ are also welcome. For further details speak to Melville. NEXT SUNDAY’S SERVICES – COMMUNION SUNDAY Next Sunday we celebrate Communion. The Morning Communion Service at 10.30am will be led by Melville when we continue the theme, ‘That’s Life’. Although a holiday weekend, the Young Church meets as usual (see Regular Notices on our webpage larberteastchurch/www/index.php/parish-news). There will be tea/coffee after the service when the Traidcraft Stall will also be available. The Afternoon Communion is at 2.30pm, led by Melville, when we conclude the theme, ‘That’s Life’. There will be tea/coffee and time to chat in the Hall after the service. The Retiring Offering after both services will be for the Vine Trust. Please join us in worship at both services next Sunday.
