Welcome to Our Sensory Village™! We sure have a HUGE guest list so far and we are still two weeks away from the event! Carrie Fannin and I are very excited about the upcoming event and wanted to share some details with you to prepare you and to give you an idea of how it all works. Last month I hosted an event by myself and I had a TON of questions, so with the 2 hosts we will be able to handle them more swiftly! I will link you all to the previous event to see how the question and answer open format works. https://facebook/events/1387155608207695/ The set up is similar to a facebook group...but the difference is the energy and feel it has when we are all at the same place at the same time...amongst Our Sensory Village™. The other part that is unique, is that at each event you will have the undivided attention of Angie Voss, OTR and the monthly guest host. Each host with her own specialty and views and experience to share with you and will be right there waiting for your questions! Here are a few other ideas on ways to interact and participate within the 2 hour event... 1. Enter the sensory book and product giveaways of course! (Which will be set up on the night of the event) I continue to receive more sponsors and donations, so I hope to do more than 2 giveaways per event! 2. Post written questions...with your choice in who you would like to answer...choosing a host or other parents. 3. Post short video clips of a behavior or possible sensory signal of your child in action...to then get feedback from the hosts about your concerns or questions. 4. Post pictures of sensory tools, equipment, and sensory home environments to share with those attending to inspire and encourage others. I hope this helps paint a picture of what is to come and to expect at our first meeting as Our Sensory Village™...we are all in this together!
