Welcome to all my new followers. Just for you, relax and enjoy this beautiful medieval Christmas song, the Coventry Carol performed by the Choir of Kings College, Cambridge. The Choir owes its existence to King Henry VI to sing daily services in his magnificent chapel. This remains the Choirs role and is an important part of the lives of its 16 choristers, 14 choral scholars and two organ scholars, who study a variety of subjects in the College. The Coventry Carol was a very popular Christmas song during the Tudor Era. Although many people mistakenly believe Thomas Cranmer attended Kings College, as a young student, His Grace instead attended the then newly established Jesus College, Cambridge, graduating with a Ph.D in Divinity in 1526.
