Simply put, it turns your mobile device into a mobile wallet. It’s known as m-commerce, and soon it’ll be a fixture of modern society. It’ll be just as quick, easy and fully integrated into your daily routine as making a mobile Facebook (FB) status update or sending a text message to a close friend. I know what a lot of you are thinking… “No way. I’ll never store my credit card info on a mobile device.” Well, I hear ya… But let me be frank here. This is a battle you won’t be able to fight. I need you to understand that. It’s inevitable. Visa (V) says that m-commerce will literally remove physical wallets from the world in a matter of five years. Instead, smartphones will hold everything – credit cards, debit cards, driver’s licenses, social security cards, store cards, etc. And the reason is simple. We live in a corporate-run society. The biggest companies in the world want consumers to have access to faster and easier methods of payments. Easier payments lead to better sales. That’s m-commerce.
