Welcome to the Biblical Aramaic group. We discuss any occurrence of Aramaic in the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament. We hope you enjoy being part of the group as we share our thoughts on the Aramaic language in the Bible. All people regardless of their knowledge are welcome in the group, as some people are here just to read listen and learn, and that is fine. When people hear the term Biblical Aramaic, they might think only of the Aramaic text that makes up a small part of the Tanach (Old Testament) but from now on Biblical Aramaic means any Aramaic that is used to make up the complete Bible, both Old and New Testaments. This group holds to the theory that most, if not all, of the New Testament was originally written in Aramaic. What posts, comments, or behavior are acceptable in this group? Aramaic primacy of the New Testament. Learning of the Aramaic language. Textual criticism of the Aramaic text of the Old and New Testaments. Bible Translation projects using the Aramaic text. Generally anything relating to the use of Aramaic in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. What posts, comments, or behavior are unacceptable in this group? Debating over which religion or denomination is best. Posting offtopic posts or comments, or trying to sell irrelevant items within the group. Blocking admins (the admins will find out and remove from the group any person caught doing this). Also, the general discussion of Bible Translation not relating to whats mentioned above is offtopic. There is a Bible Translation group on Facebook that deals with Bible Translation in a general sense and such general discussion can be discussed there.
