Well, 5k training was out on hold this week, and will,be scaled way back. On Tuesday, as I was driving to work, I began having severe abdominal pain. It wouldnt go away with antacids, and got worse throughout the morning. Finally, I gave in, left work and headed for urgent care. Thought thats where I was going, anyway. Ended up in the ER. Diagnosis: inflamed gall bladder and liver, gall stones, high blood pressure and anemia. Was admitted to the hospital Tuesday night, Trying to bring up my blood count, and bring down my blood pressure. Finally released Thursday with antibiotics and HBP meds. At least now I know why Ive been so tired (anemia) and that I need surgery in the next week or so to remove my gall bladder, and at the same time the Ob-gyn will do a procedure to try and determine if my anemia is gyn related. Just waiting for my infection and inflammation to clear. Back to work tomorrow. And back to a reduced 5k training...
