Well Dennis should be winging his way to JHB at the moment! What a stressful operation! We were given the incorrect time for his flight so when I arrived I was told that I was too late for him to get on his flight! They said the next flight was also full and the flight after that he could possibly get on! I was so stressed out by the whole thing, it was bad enough that I had to load him into a crate and say my forever goodbye, but that he might have to sit in a crate until late this afternoon was just too much. I was going to abort the whole thing when the lady said she would speak to the guy at the back because there was still an hour and 20 mins before the flight left. He said if we hurried up he would put Dennis on the flight, so it was a mad rush of getting the crate and Dennis into the cargo area and ready for take off. Saying goodbye is not easy and it broke my heart but I know that he is going to a lovely new forever home and he is going to be loved and spoilt rotten. Fostering rescue dogs can sometimes be really tough!
