Well, Facebook friends, today hasnt been one of my most memorable days. Brenda and I are in Pigeon Forge (Im here to work at The Mountain Press a few days) and we went over to the Roaring Fork Motor Trail this morning. I wanted to take some pretty pictures of the river, and as always, I was being very careful, but stepped on an angled rock that didnt look like a rock and down I went. I landed on my right elbow and cut it pretty badly, and also have a couple of nasty cuts on my right calf. I didnt go into the river, which was lucky. Brenda Dennison Stilley doctored on me pretty good, but my elbow is killing me and I finally went to the Urgent Care place in Sevierville. They were great - x-rayed me and found nothing broken or dislocated. He prescribed an antibiotic and a pain killer, so I guess Ill live. I cant hardly bend my right arm, so I pretty much ate dinner with my left hand, which left me pleasantly surprised that I could do it as Im so right-handed. As I like to say, it could always be worse!
