Well Folks….here we are in December…what used to be the tenth month as the name goes…deca meaning ten as in decade…back when the year began in Spring on the equinox…provable by the months that precede it…Septa = 7th…Octa = 8th…and Nova=9th…but we somehow got caught in a calendar where the old year ends in darkness and the new one begins there too… Over the past couple daze I have reviewed the latest climatic and economic data and it appears we are entering a tremendously unstable time of systems failures and chaos which is just too big for most people to comprehend. I have stopped trying to warn anyone anymore…tired of leaving friends, family, and strangers alike with furrowed brows and white knuckles with a suggestion to quit being negative.…tending to make people who know me run in another direction. There seems to be two camps forming…the so-called collapse conscious group who are increasingly aware that we are past the point of no return and are facing an unpredictable and priority-challenging reality. The other group are people somewhat aware and in denial because they cant imagine how to integrate the nightly news with their conventional lifestyles that even tho they may realize the disfunction just cant imagine a way out. The only bridge between these desperate polarities is built from compassion. We are a long way from the shore…and the lifeboat is crowded. One by one I am watching individuals reach their human limits and choose various avenues to stop the pain…offered up by a society so sick that we are like fish unaware that we are even dependent of what surrounds us. The dissatisfaction with modern life is growing as we realize the extent of the deception and hidden dependencies on dehumanizing systems that are crafted to profit from us…by those who are not the least concerned for our health and well-being…. The planet isnt waiting around for us to get it… The wake-up call must be our own….
