Well, I am not in jail! I had to go before two Supreme Court - TopicsExpress

Well, I am not in jail! I had to go before two Supreme Court Judges. The other side tried to have my appeal struck out. I asked to have it amended by a solicitor and asked for three weeks to do that, they were very kind and gave me till January 22nd, 2014. I told the judges the solicitor from the other side keeps saying this is not about the truth, and when I told them I had thought the courts are about the truth and justice and that I must be from a different planet they smiled. I told them their valuer valued my car 3 years ago at $ 2,000, now three years later it is insured for $ 4,700 that`s not an agreed value but a value set by the insurance company. I told the magistrate it was worth about $ 7,000. In spite of ruling that Len and I were honest and reliable witnesses she did not believe anything we said. She also allowed the other side to be represented by a solicitor when it was a small claim and solicitors are not allowed there. I did well there but was not given a stay and have to pay $ 9,800 which I will get back if I win the appeal. I know it is almost half a nights takings (I wish), a piece of cheesecake, I mean a piece of cake, really! Thanks for all your good wishes, they definitely helped!
