Well I am now on track for a relatively speedy return to show jumping. I had several doctors, radiologists, and orthopaedic surgeons within 100km look at x rays and cat scans give me opinions and advise regarding my broken ankle. The verdict was that I was to be in a plaster cast with no wait bearing for six weeks minimum. Then asses wether surgery was necessary. Not liking the sound of this, I went to the best orthopaedic surgeon I could find and Im now (after no surgery!) walking on my leg with only a walking stick. Definitely worth spending some time on google and the phone and leaving at 2.30am to get there (even after fixing a hole in fuel tank last minute). This further convinces me that its always worth questioning everything and everyone! (not that I probably needed any more encouragement to be an arrogant, know it all bastard :P)
