Well, I did get what I expected after my conversation with a Healthcare.gov rep. Even after a tax credit the monthly premium on the CHEAPEST plan is still way more than we can afford, and one month would cost LESS than we would pay in a fine for the whole year. The surprise-a very pleasant conversation with the most helpful employee who really took the time to help and answer questions. While this service is definitely NOT helping us find affordable healthcare, they did do a good job hiring people to answer the phones! #silverlining?
