Well I dont have days like this very often (thank god). My 2nd patient of the day , a little 86yo lady, came in with vague complaint of not feeling well, nothing specific. Then proceeded to go into cardiac arrest right there in front of me and her daughter. Holy shit. Im yelling for someone to call 911. The daughters screaming. Emergency instincts kick in and a couple good thumps got her going again. When she opens her eyes she says You woke me up! Well yes, yes I did. She says, Thank you. Im not a PA in the ER for a reason. Cant handle the adrenaline overload. Who knew family practice would be so exhausting. I need a stiff drink.
