Well, I finally made it home. We left (finally) at 7:30, after waiting since 9:15 this morning. It feels GREAT to be home, sitting in a (mostly) comfortable chair, and knowing that Ill be sleeping in my own bed for the first time in over a week. There is still a lot of recovery and physical and speech therapies to complete, but it feels good to know that is going to be getting started soon. Im hoping and praying for a 100% recovery, but know that 85-90% is more realistic, as this is NOT my first stroke. I can cope with 90% all well and good, but Im still going to shoot for the 100% mark. I really have to thank all of you for your thoughts, well-wishes and prayers. It is quite humbling to see all of the comments and read all of the messages. God bless you all for being a part of my life.
