Well, I guess its April Fools day.... Tuxie is NOT at the vet getting his cyst-encased microchip removed. Stan was out due to retinal surgery, and today was (supposed to be) his first day back in surgery. I called yesterday morning to confirm Stan was back. Yes - hes back, but his surgeries for today were all rescheduled. *roll eyes* The person I spoke to in the morning didnt know that, or the decision was made later in the day - but there IS, in fact, a message on the answering machine later in the day from them, calling to reschedule. In the meantime, we all got up early, drove 45 minutes to the vet, only to turn around and come back home. The good news is that Stan did take a look at him while we were there, and is comfortable waiting the TWO WEEKS were going to have to wait to take him back. Yes, we could have one of the other vets do it. We could have the local vet do it. But the team of vets we work with now evolved over the years because of who is good at what (and with who). If it is not an emergency, Stan is the surgeon we prefer. Especially when it comes to Tux, as Stan was the one who saw him every day, and every other day and every week (&etc) for seven years.
