Well I had the best time at Fono Samoa 2014 this year. What an experience! I have no idea where to start. First of all Id like to say a massive thankyou to Aukilani Mātū for being such gracious hosts. Malo lava le galulue! Also thankyou to everyone else that attended and made it the awesome experience that it was :) special mention to my own church Manukau Autalavou Pic Manix for the great turnout and for the unity we had on display throughout Fono Samoa. And also to our brothers and sisters from Aukilani Saute. Its been great preparing together and being able to show our other matagaluegas what were all about lol So this year was my 2nd ever Fono. My first being the one that we hosted quite some time ago! So its been a long time coming! I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and everything. My favourite was the aganuu workshops. I thought I was pretty well versed in terms of aganuu faasamoa and faasinomaga but I learnt heaps! Just goes to show your learning never ends when it comes to our culture. I really liked the way it was run with the younger tupulaga pairing up with elders to run workshops and presentations. It made everything easier to absorb and was put in a fun informative format. Last of all, it was great to be able to meet lots of our peers and elders also from other matagaluegas that we dont get to see often. Cant wait to see everyone again at the next fono hosted by Aukilani Sasae!
