Well, I had the scare of the century last night. It was midnight and though I was wide awake I knew I had to try to get some sleep. I turned off the TV and the lights and started walking across the very dark den toward the hall leading to my bedroom. Just as I reached the entrance to the hall I felt 2 hard pats on my left elbow! I let out a scream Im sure the neighbors could hear and was so terrified that I instantly tingled from the top of my head to the tips of my toes (and not in a good way, lol). I quickly reached for the hall light and, trembling with fear, scanned the room. What or who did I see? Nothing! After a bit, though, I realized that the culprit was Mindy, my cat! When she is lying on the back of the recliner she sometimes reaches out in that way to let me know she doesnt want to be bothered, but this was on the other side of the room, and since it was so dark I suppose I got much closer, close enough for her to actually reach me.
