Well, I just got home about 1/2 hour ago from Philly. The interesting thing I was acutely reminded of is that Gods mercies are new everyday. The scriptures say through out the Bible how merciful God is. My usual routine when I go to Philly is leave on Sundays no later than 9 which gets me back to Uniontown by 2pm. This week-end I made plans to visit a church in Media so my plans were to leave afterwards. Robyn came home early from her daily walk after she realized it was too dangerous to walk because there had been an ice storm and the streets and sidewalks were a sheet of ice and dangerously slick. She said Mom put on the news. There was a huge accident of over 50 cars with fatalities at the very road I would mostly have been on at that time if I had done my normal routine. But, here I wanted to go to church and delayed my departure until after the service. The police were asking no one to go out until the temperature rose above freezing to help melt the roads and Penn Dot could treat the roads. All this to say God never ceases to amaze me in His protection of me and that He spared me from possibly being involved in this 60 car pile-up. But instead I arrived home safely without incidence, Praise the LORD!
